Morspoort Garage entrance.You could walk from the garage to the Main Gate of the museum in less than five minutes, but there's a much shorter route to the Pavilion.
Looking out from garage into town, you'll easily spot
the MorspoortThe Morspoort.. The Morspoort is the stone gate the garage is named after.
There's a canal at the other side of the street,
and a white wooden bridge across the canal, in front of the Morsport.
The buildings you can see to the left of the Morspoort are the museum.
Cross the street to get to the bridge.
From the bridge, you can already see
the PavilionThe Pavilion seen from the Morspoort bridge.. Cross the bridge, but do not pass the Morspoort.
Upon crossing the bridge, turn left, and walk along the water to the
back entrance onto the museum groundsBack entrance of the Rijksmuseum Volkenkunde.. Follow the path onto the grounds.
You have a clear view of
the PavilionBack view of the Pavilion. now. Keep walking along the path until you're at the stone elephant. A
signpostThe lantern near the stone elephant is a signpost. directs you to
the PavilionThe Pavilion. on your right.
